CFTally: Frequently Asked Questions > CrossFit WOD > Does the coach or trainer workout with me?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

No, this isn't a "standard" gym where someone is up front "dancing to the beat" with you.

All the coaches and trainers at CFTally do the posted workout(WOD) almost everyday, but you'll rarely see us. That's because we find to do so compromises your workout or ours. If I'm working at out at the intensity that I ought to be there is no way I can simultaneously coach you and do a good job at both. It's about your workout not mine.

At CFTally we believe in providing you the best possible service we can. That means we have to be fully engaging in our coaching while you are working out. We are athletes too but when you are here we are coaches first. You won't find us closing the gym because we're off doing our workout.

Our goal is to intensively coach you. That is we are constantly watching, evaluating and reporting back to you what we're seeing you do and encouraging you to do both do it better and with more intensity. To do that it means we are constantly working on our coaching skills. Notice our qualifications and you'll see we spend lots of time and money learning our profession.

We are constantly challenging you with new movements that require 100 percent of your attention and 100 percent of ours too.
