CFTally: Frequently Asked Questions > CrossFit Beginners > I've been told that CrossFit causes injuries, is this true?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

This has not been our experience. This isn't to say that injuries aren't a part of CrossFit, just as injuries are a part of any physical activity. Anytime you exert yourself you run the risk or injury, but the injury rate of CrossFit is no where near that of say running. I've heard it reported that 80% of runners will experience some kind of injury that reduces their training in every year.  General soreness and especially soreness of the hands are the most common complaints of CrossFitters.
